Curator Sayesha Sachdev talks about the Fashion Intensive
The Fashion Intensive is focused on the three main aspects of fashion industry relevant today:
Research is key to your design thought and process. Use the streets of the fashion capitals, the museums, people and culture as a starting point, and go on to develop your own ideas into concepts. Explore a range of textiles, international craftsmanship and innovation in design. You will be expected to push your ideas to expand and explore what is possible through the design process.
Gain knowledge and experience of the key factors needed to run a successful fashion business. Understand the various fashion markets, design a tight business plan, learn about public relations and marketing, among other fields. This intensive will essentially teach you through experience and practical work with thoughtfully designed workshops and activities run by our industry experts.
How does the fashion industry work? This immersive tour will enable creators to understand how to promote fashion. Various mediums used to communicate fashion - journalism, photography, styling, blogging, social media and more, come together as one force to sell your concept.

As owner and creative director of Nice Studios, I’ve worked with major advertising agencies like M&C Saatchi and 360i, and worked directly with major brands like Ben & Jerry’s, Coca-Cola, and Hillshire Farms to name a few. Now I’m turning my expertise and passion to helping other founders succeed. My mission is to bring creativity, passion and purpose and help people express themselves while growing and thriving in their work.
